Abstract


The aim of this research is to develop learning tools with cooperative model of Team Games Tournament (TGT) type in water cycle and natural events material occurrence to improve the learning outcomes of primary school students by meeting the criteria of validity, effectiveness, and practicality that includes the validity of the content of the learning tool, the clarity of the student textbook and student activity sheets, implementation of learning activities, obstacles encountered during learning activities with TGT type cooperative model, student responses to learning tools, and improvement of student learning outcomes. This type of research is development research using 4-D model consisting of defining, designing, developing, and desiminate phases. Learning tools developed include learning execution plans, student activity sheets, textbook, tournament cards, and evaluation tests. The tool was tested into 12 students in trial I and 48 students in trial II (N = 60 person). Data collection using observation method, test, and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive in the form of percentage and N-Gain criteria. The results of the reseach shows that learning tools with TGT type cooperative model on water cycle and natural events material occurrence developed feasible used to improve student learning outcomes.
