THE EFFECTIVENESS OF LEARNING USING TPACK STRATEGY ON CRITICAL THINKING JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract


This study aims to show the effectiveness of learning using Technology, Pedagogy, And Content Knowledge (TPACK) on critical thinking ability of junior high school students. TPACK strategy which is the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning model of Problem Based Learning very help to learn process especially on material which is abstract like in material of reflection and refraction of light. A trial conducted on the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Mojokerto as many as 30 students. Methods of data collection using test methods. Data analysis techniques use paired t-test and percentage. The result of the research of the effectiveness of learning is shown by: (1) there is a significant improvement of students' critical thinking ability at α = 0,05 with N-gain score of moderate category and (2) student response showed more than 75% good. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of learning using TPACK strategy proved effective in improving the critical thinking skills of junior high school students
