Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the different effects among the intakes of combination vitamin B1-B6, creatine, and placebo on the recovery of blood lactate level and pulse frequency; the differences of blood lactate level recovery and pulse rate between students with high and low VO2max; and the interaction effect among the combination of vitamins, creatine, and VO2max on the recovery of blood lactate level and pulse frequency.

This research was experimental using factorial design 3 X 2". This study was conducted at  12 male students. All analysis was performed using SPSS for windows version 20 with 0.05% significance level.

The results of the research found that there was significant differences among the results of the intakes of vitamins combination, creatine and placebo on lactate level and pulse rate with significant value ˂ 0.05; there was no difference in the mean difference of pulse recovery and lactate level between the groups with high VO2Max and low VO2Max with significance value ˃ 0.05; and there was effects of placebo, creatine, and vitamin combinations intakes on pulse recovery and decreased lactate level with significance value of ˂0.05. Conclusion of this study was a significant effect of vitamin combination intake on the decreased levels of lactate and pulse frequency in the high VO2Max group with significance ˂ 0.05, while at low VO2Max group, there is no effect;
