Creativity: Problem Posing in Structured Situation

Abstract


This research article that is concerned with students’ creativity problem posing. The study aimed at describing the students’ creative thinking ability to pose the mathematics problem in structured situations in varied condition of given problems. Varying the condition can be done by adding structure / information from the given situation, manipulating the initial situation, or manipulating the aim of initial situation. In order to find out the students’ creative thinking ability, it is then peformed an analysis of mathematics problem posing test based on fluency, novelty, and flexibility and interview. The results revealed that student in CTL (Creative Thinking Level) 1 met the fluency. In CTL 2 student met the novelty, while in CTL 3 student met both fluency and novelty and no one in CTL 4.
