Abstract

This research was aimed at the completion of learning outcomes of Mixture and solution materials through Guided Inquiry Learning Model. The sample of this research was 21 students of grade VI of SDN Babatan IV Surabaya. This was an action research using Kemmis and Taggart models and conducted in three cycles. Every cycle consists of 3 phases: Planning, action, observation and reflection. The data of the research were obtained through observations and tests. The data of the research study employing guided inquiry learning showed students’ significant improvements. Classical completion in cognitive aspect in cycle1 increased from 76% up to 86% in cycle2. This increased to 91% in cycle 3. In addition, students extensively showed improvement in their skill aspect. Classical completion in cycle1 increased from 76% and continuously went up in cycle 2 and 3 to 100%. The result of this research showed that guided inquiry learning model can promote the completion of students’ learning outcomes in the area of cognitive as well as skill. Therefore, expected that such a model of guided inquiry learning can be implemented into the same subject or any other subjects so as to reach significant learning outcomes as in line with learning goal.
