The application of role playing method in solar system topic of science learning to mastery learning result for sixth grade student of SDN Kendangsari II/277 Surabaya.

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to mastery learning result of sixth grade students in solar system topic in science learning using role playing method. This research was conducted at SDN Kendangsari II/277 Surabaya. The subjects research were the students of class VIA that consisted of 21 male students and 12 female students. The design of research apllied Class Action Research of Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model. That model consisted of three cycles, which consists of three stages: planning, action and observation, and reflection. To achieve the goal of this research , data was collected by observation and test. Data of research result showed the mastery and improvement of students learning result from 82% in first cycle to 90% in second cycle, and increase 6% in the third cycle to 96%. Based on data analysis result, it can be concluded that the application of role playing method in solar system  topic of science learning can  improved completeness of learning result sixth grade students SDN Kendangsari II/277 Surabaya, so the application of role playing method was expected to be applied to the same topic or not of science learning at elementary school to improve mastery of student learning result.
