Development of Chemistry Learning Material through Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) Model To Facilitate Science Argumentation Skill Student of SMA

Abstract


The purpose of this research to produce learning material through Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) to facilitate science argumentation skill student of MAN Bangkalan. The development of learning material used Dick and Carey models and was tested in class XI IPA MAN Bangkalan in second semester of the academic year 2016/2017 with one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection used validation method, observation,test, and questionnaire. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis.

The result were obtained: 1) learning material developed has a valid category; 2) RPP performing categorized as well; 3) student activity during learning activities categorize very active.; 4) Science Argumentation Skill of Student is increasing from level 1 to level 2 and level 3; 5) N-gain mastery learning of concepts in middle category; 6) students responses to learning material and lesson activity are positif with percentage like is 78%, new is 90%, agree is 84% and easy 78%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development of  chemistry learning material through Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) model to facilitate science argumentation skill student of SMA has validity, practical, and affectivess of the goog category that can be applied in learning activities.
