Abstract

Creative thinking skills the ability to provide new ideas that can be applied in problem-solving, today is needed to undergo the 21st century and globalization. Junior high school students are still low in associating and communicating science learning with complex and abstract problems of life. To overcome this problem, research is done to produce learning device IPA cooperative group investigation model to trace the creative thinking skill of junior high school students. Development of learning tools using 4D development model and tested using One-Group Pretest-Posttest design test. Data collection methods used are validation, questionnaires, tests, and observations, while data analysis techniques descriptive qualitative. Learning device validation results show that learning tools are feasible to implement. Obstacles encountered by students are not familiar with the Cooperative Group investigation model in the learning activities, but the students respond positively to cooperative model in group investigation. Student creative thinking skills after the implementation of learning tools developed in general creative category.
