Abstract


The purpose of this study is to get a description of the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model in natural science lesson to trained the creative thinking skill of junior high school students. This research is a development research and tested in Class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Tanjung Tabalong Indonesia by using one group pre-test design post-test design. The results showed that after the application of guided inquiry learning model, students' creative thinking skill increased with medium category. This is indicated by the increasing average N-gain score. These results indicate that guided inquiry model is one of the effective learning models for trained creative thinking skills.
