Abstract

Multi representation ability is defined as students’ ability overcoming natural  science (IPA) matters using mathematical representation, visual, and verbal. This research was aimed to practice the students’ multi representation through the implementation of guided inquiry learning model. This research was conducted in class VIII of SMPN 1 Sidayu on even semester, academic year 2016/2017 with Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest  Design. The result of this research showed that guided inquiry learning model could practice the students’ multi representation. The improvement of students’ multi representation ability could be identified through the mean of N-Gain 0.85 with high category. This category showed that guided inquiry learning model was able to practice the students’ multi representation  ability on the human respiration system material. The students’ responses towards equipment and learning process were positively gained.
