Abstract

The  aim of purpose of this research is to produce instructional device based on guided inquiry learning model that adapted to elementary school students. The guided inquiry feasibility is based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Implementation of learning plans and constraints is an indicator of guided inquiry practice. Guided inquiry effectiveness is measured by indicators of increased learning outcomes, student activities and student responses. Learning device development follows the four D model stage (define, design, develop, and diseminate), which is limited to the third stage (develop). The written learning tools were then validated through expert judgment by two science experts, before being tested to target students. Trial of learning device using one pre-test post-test of one group. The results showed that learning tools: (1) were valid with the category of "good", (2) practically demonstrated from the implementation of learning in both categories and active students in learning, and (3) effectively demonstrated from the improvement of learning outcomes.
