Abstract

This study described representation of students who have musical, logical-mathematic and naturalist intelligence in simultaneous linear equations problem solving. Subjects were selected on the basis of multiple intelligence tests. Data were analyzed based on problem-solving and interviewing tests. The results showed that (1) the stage of presenting information known for all three subjects were using symbolic represetation, (2) the stage of presenting information asked subject of musical and naturalist intelligence students were using verbal represetation while subject of logical-mathematic was using symbolic represetation, (3) the stage of devising a plan all those three subjects were using verbal represetation, (4) the stage of carrying out the plan those three subjects were using symbolic representation, (5) the stage of looking back subjects of musical and naturalist intelligence were using verbal represetation while subject of logical-mathematic was using symbolic represetation
