Abstract. The objective of this research is to know the process of reflective thinking reviewed from cognitive style. This research is a descriptive-qualitative research. The subjects of the research taken from 1 class junior high schools. The research was initiated by using the GEFT research instrument to get students who have cognitive style Field Dependent. The data was collected from the result of interview with subjects. The results of the research showed that students with Field Dependent style has reflective thinking style in mathematics problem solving stage.The research was initiated by using the GEFT research instrument to get students who have cognitive style Field Dependent. The results of the research showed that students with Field Dependent style has reflective thinking style in mathematics problem solving stage. This research can be used by teacher for the strategies and methods of learning more effectievely in the classroom.
