Abstract


This research was initially motivated by the low percentage of Geography subjects learning result based on minimal learning completeness (KBM), which was obtained from VIII students of SMPN 1 and 2 Wonoayu. Based on preliminary observations, in the process of learning in class VIII in junior high school especially on geography subjects. After all, the students are also required to learn independently in term of describing all of the materials.

This research aimed to know the influence of discovery learning model toward VIII students' learning results on Geography subjects in junior high school.

The approach of this research was quantitative because the characteristics of the data obtained more suitable analyzed with statistics. The type of this research was an experimental, systematic, logical, and meticulous research in a controlled conditioning process. This research resulted these following conclusions: Geographic learning especially climate materials in Southeast Asia by using Discovery Learning implementation gave an influence students' learning result VIII in Junior High School.
