Improving Student Achievement Motivation Class Through Application Of Learning Guided Discovery On Material Reflected Light

Abstract


This study aims to (1) improve students' achievement motivation, (2) to describe the implementation of RPP on the subject of light reflection with the application of guided discovery learning, and (3) to describe the students' learning outcomes based on student activity, the students' learning achievement, and Student response during the learning process. This research is a classroom action research because in this research to overcome the existing problem in class to achievement motivation and low student learning completeness. The research phase includes (1) initial plan, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The instruments and research instruments used are RPP, hand out, LKS, THB, observation sheet, achievement motivation sheet, and student response sheet. Techniques of collecting data in the form of tests, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive, quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that (1) achievement motivation in cycle I with good criterion, cycle II with good criterion, and cycle III with good criterion, (2) student interest response equal to 3.02 with percentage 75,5%. The conclusion that the application of guided discovery learning on the subject matter of light reflection in class VIII D SMPN 4 Babat effective to improve student achievement motivation.
