Abstract. Learning is done in solving word problems is to use a methode that is generally used, is using three steps: unknown, asked and answered. After teacher given an example about story, the teacher explained that the matter of what is known, write what, andwrite the answers. In general, teacher taught with conventional metod (talk) in learning proces.The reality was more students with auditory learning style in the class can not solve the story problem. So to identify the behaviour of students in solving mathematical word problem of student eight grade junior high school based on auditory learning style. The procedure does is give test to student and intervies to representatives of students have auditory learning style.
