Abstract

The implementation of TK-LB (Special Kindergarten) education for students with hearing impairment requires the right approach in order to optimize all students 'potential, especially in increasing all students' potential of intelligence. Proper play experience can optimize all aspects of student development both physical, emotional, cognition and social. One approach that can be used is Beyond Center Circle Time (BCCT) or centers and circles. The BCCT approach or centrally and circular approach adopted from Florida-based Creative Center for Childhood Research and Training (CCCRT) is intended to improve the practice of misplaced TK-LB implementation. The factual condition shows that the process of holding TK-LB is still not referring to the stages of child development. In addition, the condition of teachers in developing students' operational ability with hearing impediments is not based on their prerequisite capability, is the ability of serialization, classification, and conservation. Based on the above, it is necessary to develop cognitive skills for students with hearing impairment based on the needs of students. Research Methods used in this research through qualitative descriptive approach. The study was conducted in one of the exceptional kindergarten schools for students with a hearing impairment consisting of one class. The expected results of the study are the design of cognitive development for students with hearing impairment and the implementation of cognitive development design through BCTT in accordance with the needs profiles of students with effective early hearing impairment to improve pre-arithmetic cognitive skills related to classification, conservation and classification.
