Abstract
The optimistic has a vital role for the students as the future generation of the nation. Optimism can be interpreted as positive generalized outcome expectancies. The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of the integration of mathematics learning with Al-Quran to improve the optimistic of the departement Mathematics student at IAIN Salatiga. This research method used quasi experiment. The data collection technique was done by purposive sampling technique using questionnaire. The research questionnaire was developed based on the synthesis of the Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) with Learning Optimis (LO). Analysis of the research results used descriptive statistics with t-test. The result of the research showed that the integration of mathematics learning with al-Qur'an can improve student's optimistic significantly. The t-test between the treatment group and the control group showed a difference of 28 % (treatment group 64 %, while the control group 36%) in the improvement of student's optimistic.
