Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable performance assessment rubrics as well as feasible to be used to assess students' science process skills on the practicum of factors affecting solubility. The research method used in this research is development and validation, which consists of (1) development stage of instrument making (2) instrument validation stage, and (3) limited testing stage. This research method is used to produce performance assessment rubric in process and product from practicum, then rubric developed to be tested validity, reliability, and feasibility. Instruments in this study include validation sheet by expert team, performance assessment sheet in the form of tasks and rubrics, and observation sheet. This research is only at the stage of instrument development. This research is important to assist teachers in delivering quality performance assessment instruments and can be used for further research in developing performance assessment instruments on other chemical concepts.
