Abstract

Computer Supported Critical Thinking Test (CSCiT-Test) has been developed to measure students’ critical thinking into more real phenomena. The initial design of CSCiT-Test is critical thinking test that supported computer to explore reasoning phenomena was showed. This study aims to construct CSCiT-Test on heat transfer concept. The CSCiT-Test was constructed by Halpern’s critical thinking framework with five domains specific critical thinking. The method which is utilized in this study was Plomp model development (Preliminary investigation, Design, Realization or Construction, Test, evaluation and revision and Implementation) conducted to secondary students who have studied heat transfer concept. The sample was 30 students of eleventh grade in secondary school. The Plomp steps development model has been utilized to describe comprehensively from preliminary investigation stage until implementation stage. Based on result and discussion, it can be concluded that CSCiT-Test could effectively measure students’ critical thinking on heat transfer concept.
