Abstract


Cognitive and affective abilities are the skills that support the success of students in mathematics learning. One of the cognitive and affective abilities that is important for students is mathematical connections and habits of mind. The research aimed to improve mathematical connections of students with the missouri mathematics project and discovery learning model. In addition, this study also aims to analyze how the tendency habits of mind students in mathematical problems solving. The research is conducted into quasi experiment with the quantitative method. The population of the research is the students of class XI in senior high school of the one schools in Kuningan, West Java. Samples were as many as 79 students based on purposive sampling technique and divided into two classes of research. The results of this study are expected to be a recommendation for education practitioners, especially teachers in order to use missouri mathematics project and discovery learning model to improve mathematical connections and habits of mind of students.
