Effort to Improve Higher Order Thinking Skill by Fine Motoric Skill Training (FMST) for Autism

Abstract


Higher-order thinking is a potential that must be developed in every student. Some autism  have the potential for higher-order thinking skills. To be able to achieve high-order thinking students must have conceptual understanding. Motor skills are actions that involve the movement of muscles in the body. In order to develop high-order thinking skills, students must develop fine motoric skill The purpose of this study is to describe an effort higher order thinking skill with fine motoric skill training (FMST) in autism. The subject of this research were 5 autism student in elementary autism school in Malang, Indonesia. The sample of these activities are autism student which has a potency higher order thinking skill. The research resulted that FMST can improve higher order thinking of autism student. Student learning mathematics by motoric activities. They can plays many game which can activate their mind. By FMST, autism student can construct new conceptual understanding   to improve higher order thinking skill.
