THE EFFECT OF MURDER LEARNING STRATEGY TOWARD STUDENTS

Abstract


This research aims to know the effects of MURDER learning strategy toward students’ learning result, their motivation and their activeness. It analyzes elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school to get more specific in analyzing this strategy. It uses meta-analysis method and descriptive qualitative method for data analysis. The data sources of this research are getting from the result of 45 national and international journals about MURDER learning strategy from 2012 till 2017. The data analysis concludes that on the average the students’ learning result increase, the motivation is highly affect the students, and the students’ activeness increase in amount of 50%. MURDER learning strategy also influences students’ reading comprehension, reasoning, mathematical literacy, coordination and communication. On elementary school, the mathematic materials will use. While, on junior and senior high school, the mathematic, physics, social, science and English materials will use. The logarithm, electrical engineering, basic mechanics and measuring tools materials will use in vocational high school. However, MURDER learning strategy is not appropriate use in practice based on the data analysis.
