Abstract

Vocational High School Canda Bhirawa in Pare still using instructional media industry user panel in the learning process on the basis of competence apply electric motor installation of various control, such that the controller needs to be designed electromagnetic media trainer that aims to improve student learning outcomes. Learning media trainer electromagnetic controller (TPE) is the development of a medium of learning from the industry panel. The TPE learning media is portable easy to use, easy to operate, because students can directly make a circuit through the jack connector without difficulty, so that the time needed for lab work more efficiently.

For students who learn using instructional media will TPE activity as follows: (1) planning the installation of an electric motor circuit image; (2) determine the number of components used in the circuit TPE; (3) determine the number of banana jack cable that is used to assemble the electric motor installation circuit; (4) stringing a cable banana jack according to the image that has been planned; (5) re-evaluating circuit of the TPE cable banana jack; (6) operate TPE according to the instructions of the module; (7) conclude the work of the TPE system operating. It can be seen that the learning activities of students using instructional media TPE higher than the learning activities of students using instructional media PI, so it can be presumed that the learning outcomes of students who learn using instructional media TPE basic competence to apply the installation of an electric motor various control, higher than students learn using instructional media PI.

This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach, which aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students on the subjects of the installation of an electric motor. The purpose of this study were (1) to analyze the results of students' cognitive using instructional media TPE and instructional media PI; (2) to analyze the affective student learning outcomes using instructional media TPE and instructional media PI; (3) To analyze the results of student learning psychomotor using instructional media TPE and instructional media PI.

The study concluded that: (1) The results of students 'cognitive learning using learning media trainer electromagnetic controllers, significantly higher than the results of students' cognitive learning using learning media industry panel; (2) The results of students' affective learning using learning media trainer electromagnetic controllers, significantly higher than the affective learning outcomes of students who learn using instructional media industry panel; (3) The results of student learning psychomotor learning using learning media trainer electromagnetic controllers, significantly higher than the results of student learning psychomotor learning using learning media panel industry.
