Abstract
Estimation ability has a vital role in learning mathematics because estimation can help students to develop their number sense and the ability to evaluate the reasonableness of their solutions. Estimation ability can be defined as a capability or skill in approximating the results of operation to find the value closest the actual value. Moreover, estimation ability is also often implicated in problem solving activities. Each student has different method in problem solving. One factor that makes it different is intelligence. The difference of intelligence of each student, it make possible that there will be some difference of their estimation ability in  solving lived problem.
Multiple intelligence is intelligence compound consisting of seven intelligences that have, three of them are logical-mathematical intelligence, linguistics intelligence, and visual intelligence. The three intelligence can help students in resolving about lived problem. One of the questions that relate the problems in daily life is a lived problem.
This research aims to describe the estimation of students who have logical-mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, and visual intelligence in solving the essay of geometry. This research is a descriptive qualitative which has main instrument is a researcher and supporting instruments, namely the identification of multiple intelligences tests by Howard Gardner, mathematics ability test, essay test and interview guidance.
