ABSTRACT

This study aims to produce a learning device of physics model of guided inquiry in a feasible (valid, practical, and effective) is used to improve metacogvitive skills of students  Muhammadiyah 2nd senior high school of  Sidoarjo. Development of learning tools using the ADDIE model and tested in grade XI7rd science semester of 2017/2018 academic year with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection using validation, observation, test, and questionnaire methods. Data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate: 1) Learning devices developed categorically valid; 2) Learning tools viewed from the implementation of RPP is done well; and 3) The effectiveness of instructional tools in terms of: (a) The improvement of students metacognitive skills in the knowledge aspect is seen from the level of n-gain normalized (b) Student's response to the device and the implementation of learning is very positive. It was concluded that a well-developed, valid, practical, and effective instructional inquiry learning tool was used to improve students’ metacognitive skills in  Muhammadiyah 2nd senior high school of  Sidoarjo.
