The aim of the study is to determine the students activities through sewing technlogy basic learning activity video media, knowing the result of students basic sewing technology using video as a media, and determined the students responses through basic sewing technology learning activities using video as a media. The type of the research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 school year. The subject of the study was the tenth grade students of fashion study department with a total of 22 students. The learning implementation in the classroom action research consist of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection activities. The implemented learning method use direct learning methods. The technique of data collection use observation to obtain data about student activities, performance tests to determine the student learning outcomes, and questionnaires to determine student’s responses. Data analyze using descriptive quantitative. The results of the study showed that student’s activities which included preliminary, core and closing activities were said to be excellent with an average value of 93% in cycle I, and rise to 96% in cycle II. Student’s learning outcomes achieved complete grade of 73% in cycle I and rise to 82% in cycle II. The average percentage of Cycle I and II is 77% is in the good category. The results of the student’s responses agreed that video media made them have a high willingness to take part in learning activity as much as 56%, 47% of the student’s stated strongly agree that learning using video as a media is truly interesting and not boring, 58% said they agreed that it was easier to understand learning material with the media video, and 39% said they agreed that using video media made students motivated to have more achievement.
