Development of  Physics Learning Devices in Heat Materials with Oriented Guided Inquiry Models to Improve Learning Outcomes in High School Students Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Thesis, Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Surabaya State University. Advisor: (1) Prof. Drs. Soegimin, W.W and (II) Prof. Dr. Muslimin Ibrahim, M.Pd.

Key Words: Inquiry model, learning outcomes

This study aims to produce learning tools that are valid, practical, and effective to improve student learning outcomes. The target of the study was the XI MIPA High School class Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. This research was conducted as a systematic effort to develop guided inquiry related to physics learning in heat material at the high school level. This research is a development research. This type of research is experimental research with the design of one group pretest-posttest. The instruments used are in the form of student books and student worksheets. Data obtained from the research results will be analyzed qualitative.
In general, there are no obstacles in this study that can disrupt the learning process using guided inquiry. The obstacles that arise are only technical in nature and can be overcome by researchers. this study was analyzed and obtained several RPP findings well implemented, active students in teaching and learning, creativity and student learning outcomes increased.
Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that students' responses during the learning process with guided inquiry models were both caused by this learning method was new and fun for them, enthusiasm of students looked good during the study because the teaching material was accompanied by practicum so students felt happy and free express their opinions and share with other group friends.
