Abstract


Physiological structural disorders in hearing impairment students because hearing impairment people to have their own obstacles in understanding of a geometrical object. To be able to understand the concept of geometry, researcher needs an explanation of the sentence used. Therefore, the aim of this research is to describe how the understanding profile  female student hearing impairment in geometry. This research refers to  Richard Meyer category, thats are: interpreting,  exemplifying, classifying, summarizing, inferring, comparing, and explaining. The results of this study show the followingâ€: first category is interpreting, the subject can show or mention objects that are around environment which looks like a rectangle and square although  in a long time, second category is exemplifying, the subject can give an example of a rectangle  and square  in the form of pictures as well as revealing the reasons. Third category is clasifying, subject can classify rectangular. Fourth category is summarizing,  subject can mention both rectangular and square characteristics but needs an explanation of the meaning of the word “characteristicsâ€. Fifth category is inferring, subject in defining rectangle and square only mentions what is expressed in the answer to the characteristics of the previous.  Sixth category is comparing, subjek can compare between rectangle and square based on shape and size. Seventh category is explaining, subject explaining that the square in not a rectangle
