Abstract

Learning mathematics is implemented in schools, should be implemented actively involve students. One way to improve students' activity is to provide a learning device  of  facilitating activeness students.  The  objective of  research was to design learning device based   flipped classroom  of class XI SMA that meet valid, practical and effective aspect. The development research conducted Plomp development model which consists of three phases. In the phase of preliminary investigations carried out a needs analysis, curriculum analysis, analysis of the concept and analysis of learners. In the prototype development phase conducted formative evaluation consisting of its own evaluation, evaluation of one-on-one, review experts, small group evaluation and field testing. While the assessment phase carried out tests on high school grade students to see learning outcomes in the form of mathematical communication abilities of students after learning using the learning device. Based on the development that has been executed, obtained flipped classroom-based learning device to class XI SMA valid, practical and effective. Student’s mathemaical communications score in class using flip clasroom higher than conventional class.
