Abstract

Abstract.

Children can express thoughts in movements and speeches which can reflect two cognitive strategies in solving mathematical problems in one concurrent or not response, where speech expresses an explanation and gesture in other explanations. The role of movement and speech as a facilitator for solving mathematical problems. Giving opinion on gestures plays an important role for learning and helps children acquire, restructure, and adjust their own knowledge. In addition, many students' conceptual knowledge is built to help them solve problems. Gestures and sayings reveal important information about children's reasons for mathematical problem solving strategies.
