Abstract

The implementation of education 4.0 began to be implemented by integrating cyber technology in order to prepare a generation that could compete in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Surabaya State University (Unesa) as one of the higher education institutions in Indonesia facilitates the implementation of education with the use of vi-learning in learning. Various studies related to the use of vi-learning in the subject of science studies in the Natural Sciences Department of Mathematics and Science Faculty of Unesa have been carried out and proven to be able to achieve learning outcomes while motivating students. The purpose of this study is to describe the response of students to vi-learning use that has been applied in the Science Department as an input for improving the quality of learning. The method of data collection is done by interviewing and using questionnaires. The results showed that students responded positively to lectures using vi-learning. However, students expect some additional features such as videos that show explanations from lecturers that can be played through vi-learning. In addition, teleconferences are needed by students to be able to discuss more effectively during online learning. The conclusion of this study is that vi-learning use can be applied further to other subjects to prepare science teacher candidates, but the improvement in audio visual and communication features needs to be considered.
