Abstract


This research aims to studying and discussing indigenous knowledge of local Madura content with scientific knowledge performed through STEAM's approach to producing teaching materials based on ethnics. The teaching content is STEAM-based. STEAM approach involves Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Teaching content with WEB focuses on interactive science learning materials. It is expected that this teaching material will increase the capacity to understand the concept of science by linking the material to ethnics. The selected object of study consists of local content in Madura. This research was conducted through observation and interview. The initial stage of this research is monitoring, and interviewing, then building community awareness, and connecting community knowledge with science knowledge in understanding Integrated Science material concepts. Based on this research, Madura’s ethnoscience study of local content can be applied in integrated science teaching materials through the use of STEAM.
