Abstract
Dual Track is a skill training program which is intended to prepare students’ life after graduating from high school. The implementation of skill training in Dual Track of high school students has not been having suitable exercise model. Thus, the development of suitable exercise model is needed in implementing Dual Track. This research is aimed to (1) examine the properness of work training model to implement Dual Track in high school in Malang, (2) examine the practicality of work training model to implement Dual Track in high school in Malang, and (3) examine the effectiveness of work training model to implement Dual Track in high school in Malang.

The model of this research is Research and Development (R & D) which is adapted from The Systematic Design of Instruction model by Dick, Carey, and Carey (2015) and consisted of ten steps. The subject of this model is to have a depth understanding in the properness and the practicality of material experts, learning experts, and students. Furthermore, this model is proposed to understand the effectiveness of work training model which has been developed. Sample taken were as many as 25 vocational high school students. The data analysis that is used to examine the effectiveness is N-Gain.

The results of Research and Development are, (1) work training model is proper to be used to implement Dual Track in high school in Malang, (2) work training model is practice to be used to implement Dual Track in high school in Malang, (3) work training model is effective to be used to implement Dual Track in high school in Malang as the result of N-Gain is 0,7 which is considered high.

The developed work training model has been suitable with students’ characteristics, systematic needed analysis, clear training objectives and compatible training objectives between ones and another, materials, and agreements. The practicality of work training model is suitable for students and able to be applied by everyone with clear evaluation and training implementation.
