Perception vs Impression: An Evaluation of Online Learning Implementation in Covid-19 Pandemic Era

Abstract


In this Covid-19 Pandemic Era, all kinds of learning process are transitioned into online learning. However, many teachers or lecturers who are not yet accustomed to online learning have to struggle hard to keep the learning going well. Hence, an evaluation should be conducted, as in the next semester a full online learning have to be implemented as well. This study aim to describe the perception in students’ mind of the implementation a full online learning due to global pandemic of covid-19. A closed-questionnaire that measure students’ perception of online learning should be and impression that students’ gained after the implementation were given to 30 students, which consisting the aspect of flexibility, technical support, individual differences, technology acceptance, motivation, and instructor role. The data of students’ perception were analyzed quantitatively. The result show that the impression that students gained which have not meet the students’ perception of an online learning should be are about individual differences, technology acceptance, and motivation aspects.
