Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the application of learning models search, solve, create, and share (SSCS) can improve students' quantitative mathematical reasoning abilities. The type of research which used is experimental research using one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects of this research were 32 students of class VIII A in SMP Negeri 1 Laren, Lamongan. The results of this study were obtained based on the results of paired t-test calculations with the value of tcount is 21.358 and ttable is 2.03951 which means that tcount> ttable. Since the value of tcount> ttable, it could be said that learning mathematics using SSCS models were effective in increasing students' quantitative mathematical reasoning abilities. This research is expected to provide new experiences and insights for teachers in teaching mathematics to students and can provide benefits in the world of education.
