Abstract

Learning in principle is to build one's reasoning process. One way to help students' reasoning processes is through the task of learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of reasoning tasks in physics learning towards the cognitive achievements of students. The type of this research was quantitative, with the post ex facto design method. The study was conducted at MAN 1 Bangkalan with 34 students. The instruments of this research used were questionnaires and cognitive tests. The results of the questionnaires on the ease of reasoning task indicator to understand the concept of material with a percentage level of 82% belonged to be very well category. For a while, cognitive learning outcomes reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM namely 75) with an average yield of 75.6. Therefore, it can be concluded that reasoning tasks are effective in achieving students’ cognitive achievements
