Abstract
This study aims to: (1) describe the process of developing problem-based learning tools on Trigonometry for grade X students; (2) describe the learning tools with good quality of problem-based learning on Trigonometry for grade X students; (3) describe the effectiveness of problem-solving learning on Trigonometry for grade X students. Learning tools developed in this research were lesson plans, student worksheets, and achievement test. Learning devices were developed using the 4-D development model (Define - Design - Develop - Disseminate). From the analysis of the trial class, it was obtained that the learning devices were considered as valid, practical and effective. While from the implementation class, it was obtained that the teacher was able to manage the class well, the activities of the students were categorized as active, students’ responses were positive, and the classical mastery learning was achieved. So that, problem-based learning was declared as effective to be used for learning Trigonometry in grade X high school students.
