Abstract
Statistical thinking is very important in people's lives, especially helping a lot in taking decisions that are thorough and meticulous. Besides being able to change human ways of workings form traditional way to scientific and rational. Therefore, to develop statistical thinking, it is needed statistical teaching since in elementary school. Based on the mathematical curriculum in Indonesia, statistics were first introduced in the sixth grade of elementary school. In fact, some research suggests that low grade students successfully completing the statistical problems. This research aims to dig statistical thinking of primary school female students of statistical review of cognitive style. The qualitative approach was selected to describe in depth related statistical thinking students. The results of the study showed that female students with cognitive style field dependent and field Independent statistical problems in completing different include: identifying, describing and showing data, organizing data, and reduced the representation of data, analyzing and interpreting data, concluded the data. The representation used by students with cognitive style field dependent and field Independent is also different in resolving problems of statistical.
