Abstract
This paper demonstrates the Isonorm 9241-110/S version of System Assessment Questionnaire about Ergonomics of human-system interaction, Part 110: Dialogue principles. Human interaction with the system in this research is the interaction of post-graduate students with open journaling system (OJS). The purpose of this study was to see how well the OJS conforms to ISO 9241-110 standards, as inputs for evaluating system deficiencies and improvement of OJS system from graduate students from questionnaires adopted from Isonorm 9241-110 / s and conformity with ISO 9241 -110. There are seven Indicators of Dialogue principles in Isonorm 9241-110 / S that are: 1) suitability for the task; 2) self descriptiveness; 3) conformity with user expectations; 4) suitability for learning; 5) controllability; 6) error tolerance; and 7) suitability for individualization (Nelke, Sachse, & Thüring, 2013). The type of this research study is survey research with 40 respondets. This respondent in this research are graduate students in using the learning system. To find out whether the respondent ever used the open journal system, then the authors determine the restrictions of users is post-graduate who visit the journal office to submit their articles. The time limit used in data retrieval is for two weeks (19-30 Maret 2018).
Â
Based on the data obtained, it is known that from 21 statements, there are 15 statements indicating that OJS has a good enough value and 6 statements that show good value. Of the 21 statements are divided into 7 indicators previously mentioned. Each indicator consists of 3 statements. Here is an explanation of each indicator:
1. Suitable for The Task
In the ojs matching indicator in providing post-journal access services to post-graduate students, the average results included in the criteria are quite good.
2. Self descriptiveness
The status or position of the user shown in the ojs is quite good.
3. Conformity with user expectations
The system provides information in accordance with the context requested by the user, data research results indicate that the indicator tersbut have good score.
4. Suitablity for learning
In the indicator of convenience ojs in accessing information service journal by post graduate student result of result of average score that is 6 or included in good criterion
5. Controllability
The workflow in the ojs system is fairly easy to observe by the user.
6. Error tolerance
The error message the system generates is fairly easy for users to understand.
7. Suitability for individualization
The system provides the information required by the user. Based on the data obtained, the information provided by the ojs into the category is quite good.
Â
Although the average assessment of each indicator is good, there are some things that need to be improved, such as socializing the use of OJS. From the interviews, some respondents admitted only a few times to access the OJS. Respondents said that information on the use and use of OJS is still low. Based on comments given by the respondents, on average they mention that it is more convenient to use search egine. This is due to the appearance of the OJS which is less interesting and has many steps to get the required information. Because this research is a preliminary research, it is necessary to do further research on what factors cause post graduate student prefer search egine compared with OJS.
