Enhancing elementary school students’ critical thinking through audio visual media related to motion of object concept

Abstract
The skill of critical thinking is essential to thriving as a citizen in the 21st century. This skill is required in order to contribute as a member of society, operate effectively in primary school. This research aims to enhance 3rd elementary students’ critical thinking skills by implenting audio visual media in teaching activity. This research utilized classroom action research method. The subjects were 34 students of 3rd elementary students in Pekanbaru. The instrument test was some essay problem solving related motion object concept, it was adapted by Ennis critical thinking framework. The result of this research found that critical thinking skill was increasing; it can be seen from students’ percentage score and teaching and learning activity sheet. Thus, it can be conclude that audiovisual media can improve elementary students' critical thinking skills on motion of object concept.
