METAKOGNITIVE KNOWLEDGE OF STUDENTS IN PLANNING THE SOLUTION OF LIMIT PROBLEMS

Abstract


This study aims to describe metacognition activities in the form of metacognitive knowledge of students in choosing an approach or strategy in solving the limit problems. The type of this research is explorative research with qualitative approach, that is from written work result through giving problem solving and limit of depth interview. Next will be explored in depth how the subject perform metacognition activities. The result of data analysis shows that students in choosing approach or strategy in solving the limit problems involves metacognition activity, that is by utilizing metacognitive knowledge, either declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge, conditional knowledge.
