The Practical Skills Profile of VIII’s Grade Students on Integrated Science Learning

Abstract


Integrated science learning with scientific approach can not be separated from laboratory or practical work. Practical work on integrated science learning train students some skills such as practical skills. This study aims to describe the profile of practical skills at junior high school students on integrated science learning especially motion in plants and humans. This research method use descriptive qualitative method by Rasch model. The instrument is a multiple choice test of practical skills given to 35 students of grade VIII SMP. The results showed that the achievement of students' total practical skills by 80%. Based on the practical skills aspect, the achievement of procedural and manipulative ability is 84%, observation ability is 80%, drawing ability is 80%, and the ability to report and interpreting the data is 75%.
